Dorma Window and Floor Replacement
From and initial inspection for some rot on the floor and wooden window upright, it was discovered that the wet rot had set in and it was not possible to repair. Once the floor was exposed it was also found that the joists had sagged and the floor structure needed replacing.
The new floor joists were sistered with steel plates attaching through the bearer onto the internal joists. The new aluminium window was manufactured by a third party and delivered to the site. To keep with the look of the external cladding, weatherboards were used on the apron under the window. I worked with an experienced builder on this project. Project was finished on budget to a very happy client. |

BBQ Project - Stage Three
This is the completion of stage three for this BBQ, which was a private project. I worked with another for the initial concrete pad and brick work, including the table and bench seat. The original back trellis was taken out by a storm last winter and it was decided to upgrade to a more windproof solution. All the new timber was machined onsite mostly from purchased decking. The next thing is to fire it up with some sausages and steak!
