Rimu Chair
After collecting bits of timber from building site skip bins, I finally put the material to good use. I have used the american Cape Cod or Adirondack style design and it's all made from solid pieces of NZ rimu. It was a true labour of love to machine down all the bits from the original scrap weather boards, or the arm rests for example were the shelves of a fireplace. I'm thinking about selling it, seems a shame as it's such a comfy place to sit, but I can't get bogged down by material things. Perhaps with a matching table? Would you buy it?
